Deborah Bruno, LCSW, EAP received her Masters in clinical social work and psychology from Fordham University in 1995. She has spent over 15 years in private practice as a Licensed Psychotherapist. Previously, Ms. Bruno held senior management positions with NYNEX, AT&T and Lucent Technologies. She launched her own telecommunications training and consulting firm in 1988. She has coached and trained senior managers at Estee Lauder, Warner Brothers, Lucent Technologies, AT&T, Barcardi and Ford Foundation.
Ms. Bruno was originally drawn to psychology and counseling because she recognized its power in helping people perform at the top of their capacity. As a clinician, she has assisted thousands of people, many of whom were quite functional but want to improve the effectiveness they had in their lives.
Her ambition to introduce the coaching model to ordinary people to achieve excellence in their lives transformed and led Ms. Bruno to the workplace and eventually working with senior executives. Due to the introduction of managed care and reduced fees, it didn’t seem feasible nor cost effective to utilize the coaching model with insurance prospects. Ms. Bruno evolved a model of clinical practice outside of managed care and outside of the constraints of insurance and introduced MindBuilders™, Inc. Through the use and techniques of coaching, Ms. Bruno developed cost effective strategies for utilizing the coaching model both in the consumer and business market segments thus creating MindBuilders™, Inc.
Deborah’s coaching model with both individuals and Business executives includes helping people to build emotional intelligence skills to enhance performance and achieve positive results based on personal and professional development.
Deborah is a member of the International Coaching Federation, Employee Assistance Professional Association and NASW. Deborah is a Certified Core Consultant/Trainer, EQi Certified Consultant, Certified Professional Coach and Licensed Psychotherapist.
